Donald DeVar Smith our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, returned home to his Heavenly Father June 28, 2001, after a short illness.
Born to Thomas Alonzo and Fran-ces Avon John Smith April 14, 1929 in Salt Lake City, UT. Married Marian Meisel Aug 24, 1953.
Active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he cherished the time spent with his family and he loved life.
Survived by his wife; children, Joey, Douglas (Kathy), Kathy (John) Fackrell, Timothy, Frances (Rick) Bullock, Laurie (Sam) Carlson; 12 adoring grandchildren; three brothers; and four sisters. Preceded in death by parents, two brothers, and one sister.
Services will be Mon. July 2, 2001, 11 a.m. at the Riverside LDS 1st Ward chapel, 5425 S. 600 W. Friends may call Sun. 5-7 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St, and Mon. at the church 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Pleasant Green Cemetery.
