Happy Day --- all is well! After a courageous fight with Alzheimer's disease, Lois Mae Cheever Hanson Hawley passed away Monday July 16, 2001 at the age of 76. She was born Oct. 24, 1924.

She is preceded in death by her parents Katherine Blanche and Harridon Guile Cheever and husband Oscar William Hanson.

She is survived by her brother Eugene Cheever (Jean) of Seattle, Washington and children, Linda Anderton (Ned) Bill Hanson (Melanie) Barbara Hilton (Dave) Mark Hanson (Sue). Also (12) grandchildren and (13) great-grandchildren.

Among her many talents, she was "all city center" for the Seattle, Washington girls basketball team. She loved Baseball and Golf on T.V., Dogs and vacations. Her garden was her passion. In her "Hay Day" she skied, rode horses, and danced to the Big Bands. Her ability to entertain and create outrageous costumes for herself delighted young and old.

She oozed of Style and Class.

She fought hard to the very end and her great smile and acute sense of humor endeared her to all she met.

The smile was with her to the end.

Mom, we'll miss you dearly and remember you always and promise to carry on the Hanson tradition of loving and living life to its fullest.

A celebration of her phenomenal life will be held at the Alzheimer's Association wildlife Grove, where we will be planting a tree in her honor. Thursday July 19th at 10 a.m. 1200 W. 300 S. (follow the signs) Please join us.
