Harriet H. Crundall mother of Carolyn (Michael) Stransky passed away July 17, 2001 in Salt Lake City, UT.
Born in Johns-town, PA. May 29, 1907 to Philip and Alice Hasbrouck. Harriet lived a long and wonder-ful life. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend. We will miss her greatly. She was a talented pianist and a lover of great books. She particularly loved Wallace Stegner's writings about the west where she grew up, married, and raised her family. She attended Mills College and graduated Cum-Laude from University of Southern California where she majored in Psychology and English. Harriet lived in Redlands, California, married Albert "Ian" Crundall and they raised their family in Westwood and Santa Monica. After her husband's career as a commercial artist at McDonnell-Douglas in Long Beach. Harriet and Ian retired in Carmel, California in 1965 where they lived until moving to Salt Lake City in 1996. They enjoyed travelling in California and England (Ian's Homeland) and they shared Ian's passion for creating watercolor landscapes. Living and walking on the beaches of Carmel gave them great pleasure.
