RIVERTON — Apparent disagreements with Mayor Sandra Lloyd may have led to the recent resignation of City Administrator Mark Palesh.
"He didn't want to answer to the mayor, and the city administrator answers to the mayor," said City Council member Steve Brooks. In all forms of government, he added, city staff must answer to the chief executive officer.
Because Palesh resigned, Brooks said, the former administrator should not receive a severance package. The council will review an advertisement for Palesh's old position before seeking a replacement.
