SPANISH FORK — A Utah County man was killed Wednesday after a strong burst of wind blew his fireworks stand on top of him.
Killed was:
Devro J. Duke, 46, Salem.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of the fireworks stand, 1000 N. Main, having suffered severe head injuries.
According to Spanish Fork Police, Duke and several adult friends were selling fireworks to earn money for their children's baseball team. Around 7 p.m., strong gusts of wind began tearing the signs off the stand. Witnesses say Duke went around the stand to pick up the signs when the entire stand blew over on top of him.
