RUSH VALLEY, UT-<! > David Jonathan Lewis, age 24, died in an automobile accident Wed., July 4, 2001 in Rush Valley, Utah.

He was born February 22, 1977, in Murray, Utah to Steven D. and Donna J. (Theriault) Lewis, and in 1987 he and his family moved to Rush Valley. There he met and married Dorothy Broughton. Together they had two children who David dearly loved; Steven David Lewis II (Stevie), age three; and Shelly Ann Lewis (Daddy's Little Punkin Head), age one.

David worked as a mechanic at the T A Truck Stop in Lake Point. (A job he loved.) He was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy; son Stevie and daughter Shelly; parents, Steve and Donna Lewis all of Rush Valley; sisters, Seana (Roy) Westerman of Grantsville; Amie (Tom) Lee of West Jordan; Pennie Lewis of Rush Valley; brothers, Rick (Sherry) of Hurricane; Kerry of Holladay; Bryan (Dawn) of Dugway; Joshua of Santa Clara; Kirk (Sandi) Patten; Kip (Dawna) Patten of Wendover, NV; and Brent Patten of Salt Lake City. Also, survived by nine nieces, seven nephews, one great-niece, one great-nephew, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by all of his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 9, 2001, 11 a.m. in the Rush Valley LDS Chapel, at the corner of church and Center Streets, Rush Valley. Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the LDS Chapel, and on Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the LDS Chapel.

Interment will be in the Heber City Cemetery at approximately 3 p.m. Arrangements in the care of Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home.
