Carla Ann Hughes, age 47, passed away June 16, 2001 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Sept 11, 1954 in Salt Lake City, UT daughter of Ken Lynn and Beverly Jean Green Heaton. She was a member of the LDS Church. Served a full time mission to Sacramento, CA and served in many callings, most recently in the Young Women's Presidency.
Carla will always be remembered as a loving and much loved person, always accepting of others, no exceptions.
Survived by father; stepmother, Iris; children, Taylor Prince, serving a mission in the Czech Republic, Brett Prince, April Hughes, Natasha Hughes, Shelby Hughes, all of West Jordan, UT; brothers and sisters, K. Lynn (Sheri) Heaton, Kathleen (Dan) Brammer, Dennis (Jane) Heaton, Gaylen (Kathy)Heaton, Maureen (Daryl) Olsen, Roy (Shanna) Merrill, David (Erica) Merrill, Rebecca (Greg) Petersen, Jennifer (Scott) Hendricks. Preceded in death by her dear mother.
Services, Tues. June 19, 2001, 11 a.m., West Jordan LDS 1st Ward chapel, 7570 S. 2700 W. Friends and family may call Mon. 6:30-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd and Tues. at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
