Utah-based CompHealth, one of the country's biggest and most comprehensive staffing companies, has contracted with Universal Health Services, one of the biggest health-care management systems, to be a preferred provider of temporary physician staffing services for all UHS medical facilities throughout the United States.
CompHealth provides flexible staffing services including temporary physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and most other allied-health professionals, including respiratory therapists, radiologic technicians and rehabilitation therapists.
The company has an active pool of more than 15,000 healthcare professionals who provide temporary coverage for the company's clients in all 50 states. It also offers permanent placement of physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other allied-health professionals.
According to the agreement, CompHealth is the only healthcare staffing company approved on a national corporate level to provide doctor staffing services to UHS facilities. The pre-approved contracts with CompHealth are expected to significantly speed the staffing process by eliminating the task of sending each individual physician's contract through legal departments and laborious background checks.
