NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A former owner of a colonial-era restaurant was convicted of murder in the slaying of his longtime friend and business partner.

Guy Sileo Jr. was accused of fatally shooting James Webb on Dec. 26, 1997, to collect a $650,000 life insurance policy they had taken out on one another.

Sileo co-owned the 297-year-old cash-strapped General Wayne Inn restaurant with Webb, the executive chef. Prosecutors said Sileo was under intense pressure to keep the suburban Philadelphia business afloat and repay a $100,000 loan from his father.
