Duane M Durrant, 76, died Saturday, July 28, 2001, in American Fork.

He was born July 13, 1925 in American Fork to Willard Albert and Marinda Mayne Durrant. He married his sweetheart, Helen Gardner, on June 13, 1950 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He will be remembered for his wit, wisdom, and loving kindness. Duane loved everything and everyone. It's often been said of him, "He was a man in whom there was no guile." Duane loved the Lord and he loved his country. He fought in the Pacific during World War II, and he served an LDS Mission to New Zealand (1947-1949).

Duane loved the children he taught during his 36 years in the classroom. He loved the neighbors he served while bishop of the American Fork Sixth Ward. Most of all he loved his family, especially his sweetheart, Helen.
