Ada Bennett Swonson, age 76, passed away August 21, 2001 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born August 16, 1925 in Meadow, Utah to Peter Preston and Mary Edith Lee Bennett. She married J. Harry Swonson on April 4, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Graduate of Millard High School in Fillmore, Utah. She was an employee of The Navy Supply Depot in Clearfield, Utah. She enjoyed being involved in a family owned theatre business. She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions of leadership. Member Salt Lake Ladies Variety Club and president of Ladies Motion Picture Club. One of her delights was 20 years of Neighborhood Dinner Club. She loved being a homemaker for her family, cooking, writing poetry and traveling with her husband.
Survived by Harry, her husband of 55 years; son, Craig (Susie), San Antonio, TX; three daughters, Cindy (Paul) Bergantz, Vicki (Michael) Hanney and Melaine (Jody) Garner, all of Salt Lake City; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Bennett. Preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2001, 12 noon at the Olympus Stake Center, 2675 East 4430 South (2700 East 4500 South), where friends and family may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the ward on Saturday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Mt.
