Fae Wilde McNeil, our beloved mom, grandma and sister passed away August 26, 2001 at her home in Francis, Utah of a sudden illness.
Born May 11, 1924 in Oakley, Utah to Curtis Wilde and Florence Marie Saxton. Married Warren H. McNeil May 10, 1946 in Oakley, Utah. Solemnized April 15, 1964 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Fae was an active member of the LDS Church. She served in all church auxiliaries and was a well known scriptorian. She was active in community service. Fae and Warren worked side by side on their farm for close to 50 years. Fae enjoyed reading, writing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a unique ability to make everyone think they were the favorite.
Fae is survived by her children, Dixie (Eric) Averett, Dorothy (John) Sullivan and Andrea, all of Francis; Earl (Billie Sue) of Woodland; Jay (Mary Anne) of Salt Lake; DeMont (Kristy) of Tulsa, OK; and her foster daughter Christine Steele of Ibapah; 40 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; her sisters and brothers, Bernice Prescott, Melva Prescott, Gerry Woodard, Colleen Burnett, Jean Potter, Buck Wilde and Nub Wilde; Her sisters-in-law, Evva Atkinson and Faye Keyes.
Preceded in death by her husband Warren, her son Allen, a brother, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Tuesday, August 28, 2001 at the Francis Second Ward L.D.S. church from 6-9 p.m. A viewing will also be held one hour prior to the funeral which will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2001 at 12 noon at the church.
