Amy Lee Whitesides Hibler Bowen, age 34, cherished daughter, sister, mother and wife, died August 4, 2001 in Midvale, Utah.
Born Feb. 28, 1967 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Robenia Lee B. White-sides and E. Maynard White-sides. Married Mark Hibler; later divorced. Married David Robert Bowen. Inspite of her trials, Amy radiated her love for family, friends, and life with her beautiful smile and positive up-beat attitude. Her gifts have brought beauty and order to every surrounding and followed her wherever she went. People were always drawn to her outgoing fun loving spirit. Amy has been a motivating, strengthening force throughout her life as she has dedicated herself to hard work, and serving others. Amy loved traveling, camping, and spending time with her family. Her presence will be missed.
Amy has worked as flight attendent, public relations representative, a preschool and kindergarten teacher and a health spa specialist. She graduated from Bountiful High. She was a member of Virginia Tanner's Children Dance Theater for 13 years. She recently graduated from the Colorado School of Healing Arts and was looking forward to using these arts to help family and friends as well as starting her own business. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survived by her children: Tyson Mark Hibler, Amanda Lee Hibler, Alexander David Bowen; her husband, David Robert Bowen; parents, Maynard and Lee Whitesides; sister, Emily R. Westenskow (Kirk); brothers, Milton J. Whitesides, Eric M. Whitesides (Melanie); Andrew H. Whitesides; Nathan M. Whitesides; Jeremy L. Whitesides; grandfather, Mark Whitesides, and many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Rex and Robenia Beckstead and Marion Whitesides.
Services will be on Thursday, August 9, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the Mueller Park 1st Ward Chapel, 1925 South 850 East. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.
