Doris Ada Clark-Hendry was born on July 6th, 1920 in Provo, Utah, due to complications from pneumonia. Doris has now left us to join her father and mother.

Doris married George (Judd) Heber Hendry on May 14th, 1939.

She leaves behind her husband, George Hendry and three children, Clark L. Hendry and wife, Vickie, of Sandy, Utah, Georgia Lee Hendry-Allen, of West Jordan, Utah, Kristi D Hendry and husband Tom of Aloha, Oregon, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She loved all natures wonders and would spend hours in her backyard rose and spice gardens enjoying the hummingbirds that came and grandchildren at play. Her malamute, Nugget would talk with her and protect her from men in hats. Her most special memories were the times she spent camping and fishing with all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. There were hours spent sitting around the camp fire at Reservoir Lake telling stories, roasting coconut marshmallows and having flashlight shows in the camper after lights out. Her favorite story was telling about the bear that came through the camp drinking only the root beer out of the coolers, and laughing about the granny ropes for the boats.

From surviving the hurricane in Cancun with her daughters and husband to spending her 61st Wedding Anniversary with her husband in Hawaii, the times she enjoyed most were those with her family.

We will dearly miss the wife, mother, and friend she so lovingly was. Her love, smile, beauty, and laugher leaves us with memories that shall reside within our hearts forever.

There will be an open house held on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001 for family and friends at 2855 South 2420 East, Salt Lake City, Utah between the hours of 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
