A center assisting the developmentally disabled in Culver City, Calif., will be dedicated in memory of actress Meredith MacRae, United Cerebral Palsy announced.
The MacRae-Edelman Center will provide computer training, independent living support, job counseling and physical mobility training. It is to be dedicated Oct. 5.
MacRae, who played comely country girl Billie Jo Bradley in the 1960s sitcom "Petticoat Junction," worked for United Cerebral Palsy for 30 years, as host of its telethon, serving as a fund-raiser and as a member of its board of directors. She died last year of brain cancer.
