LeRoy Dell Anderson, 90, died peacefully on Sept. 21, 2001, surrounded by his family.

Born July 14, 1911 in Heber, Utah to John and Sarah Agnes Mc-Affee Anderson. Married Lela Hancock on Oct. 12, 1935 in Vernal, Utah. Employed for many years as a carpenter for Kennecott Copper Corporation, he retired in 1976. He was a careful and precise craftsman who enjoyed working with wood and keeping machinery properly maintained. He loved his wife and family. He spent many pleasant hours growing beautiful roses and vegetables in his garden. He loved the outdoors, particularly fishing in the Uintah mountains. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survived by four daughters: ReNae (Jim) Sparks, Bountiful, Utah; Irene (Jim) Eyre, Tillamook, Oregon; Carol (Karl) Eyre, Vancouver, Washington; Darlene (Steve) Woodland, Taylorsville, Utah; 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Hartman and Dortha White; four brothers; Ivan Anderson, Sherman Anderson, Reed Anderson and Max Anderson. Preceded in death by his wife; a brother, Ameth Anderson; a sister, Fern Anderson and a granddaughter, Jill Marlor.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2001 at the Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, where friends may call from 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Interment at Valley View Memorial Park.
