LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - Wayne Dolliver Maupin, age 66, formerly of Lehi, died September 24, 2001, in Las Vegas, NV. of complications due to surgery.
He was born February 28, 1935, in Tres Piedras, New Mexico, the son of Junius D. and Mildred McGinnis Maupin. Wayne retired February of 2000 from Local 3 and Local 12 Operating Engineers where he was a heavy equipment operator. He had a great love for his family, his race horses, hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Shaleen B. Maupin Johnson; daughters, Candy Faye Bender, Emmett, ID.; Camela Maupin, Las Vegas, NV.; sons, Curtis Wayne Maupin, American Fork; Cory John Maupin, Las Vegas, NV.; eight grandchildren; his brother, Oran Roy Maupin, Ike, CO.; and his two sisters, Carol Cozart and Sharon Daugherty, both of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ronald Junius Maupin; and a son, Ronald Wayne Maupin. Wayne will be greatly missed but always remembered by the many lives he touched.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001, at 12 noon at the Wing Mortuary Chapel, 118 E. Main, Lehi, where friends and family may call from 10 a.m. until time of services. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.
