Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, Elmer Boyce "Bud" Quist, passed a-way on Sept-ember 28, 2001, at the age of 92.

He was born in 1909 to John Handen and Eliza Boyce Quist in Claresholm, Can-ada. He grew up in Idaho, attend-ed LDS High School in Salt Lake and grad-uated from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington.

Bud married his sweetheart, Florence Prince, on September 27, 1941. They spent their early years in Cedar City and Salt Lake being active members of the Jaycees. In 1950, the Department of Health transferred them to San Mateo, California, where Bud was part of the Lions Club. He worked as a financial planner until he retired in 1978 and returned to Utah. Bud was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in three bishoprics, two high councils, as Sunday School and Elders Quorum President and as a home teacher. His most enjoyable assignment was as a volunteer at the MTC, serving nine years with his beloved wife.

He is survived by his sweet wife, Florence; his adoring children, David, Lisa (Charles) Higgins; his proud grandchildren, Brian, Andrew, Joseph and Olivia; and his many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
