Roscoe C. Brown Jr., of New York City, stands beside a WWII-vintage T-6 trainer aircraft at the Ogden-Hinckley Airport in Ogden Tuesday, right, and beside his T-6 during the war, below left. Brown was a pilot for the famed Tuskegee Airmen, the first U.S. black pilots. The airmen racked up an impressive record during the war. Brown, a squadron commander, completed 68 combat missions and is credited with shooting down a German jet and another German fighter. On Tuesday, he and his son, Dennis, also in a T-6, simulated an aerial dogfight. North American Top Gun Inc., based in St. Augustine, Fla., brought the T-6 to Ogden in a commercial venture. The group offers flights in the plane for prices starting at $190 for 15 minutes. Those interested in reserving a flight may call the company at 800-257-1636.
