Mary Annie Butler Hansen passed away quietly at her home on Sept. 6, 2001. She lived a rich, full life. Mary was born in Ogden, UT to Elizabeth Ipson and Johnathan Elbert Butler on 27 March 1918.

She attended school in Weber, also USU where she met Hyrum Dee Hansen. They were married in the Logan Temple on 8 June 1938. They lived in Lehi, Castle Dale and Fountain Green, UT where they raised their 11

children.

She was active in the LDS Church as a teacher, visiting teacher, choir leader and librarian. She had a beautiful singing voice and sang in many choirs. She enjoyed sewing crafts and quilts for her family, flower gardening, and assembling scrapbooks and journals. She is grandmother to 66 grandchildren and 67 great-grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her husband Dee, her sisters Pauline Barnet, Lucille Gibby and brother Robert Butler as well as her 11 children Deanna Rice, Marilyn Hansen, Carol Wayman, Richard Hansen, David Hansen, Glen Hansen, Gail Peterson, Elizabeth Ward, Jane Anderson, Niels Hansen, and Rebecca Larson.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Frank Butler, three grandchildren, Heidi Hansen, Carma Rice, and Alex Hansen, and son-in-law, Richard Peterson.

Funeral services will be held on Mon. Sept 10, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Chapel in Fountain Green, UT. Viewings will be held Sunday Sept 9, 2001 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ursenbach Funeral Home at 96 N. 100 W., Mt. Pleasant, UT, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Fountain Green chapel prior to the services. Interment will be in the Ft. Green Cemetery.
