Doris S. Vanfleet, 78, died on Jan. 9, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was born on April 12, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Sidney Shegogue and Leona Nordstron. Married Willard B. Vanfleet on April 8, 1949.
Doris served in many calling in the LDS Church. Camp and Company President along with many other jobs in D.U.P. She loved doing many crafts along with sewing, knitting and crocheting. She loved to read and was active in her community. She was devoted to her family.
Survived by five daughters and two sons: Doris' Lee (David) Westover, Marian (Larry) Smith, Mark (Linda) Vanfleet, Barbara (Hal) Cates, Anna-Dee Vanfleet, Vickie (Bill) Cates, Robert (Lisa) Vanfleet; 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband; daughter Jeanne Vanfleet; three grandchildren, sisters Clair Kresser and Pauline Drage.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, Jan. 14, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Richards First Ward, 855 Garfield Ave. Viewing Sun. 6-8 p.m. at Richards Ward and one hour prior to services at the Church. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
