Michael John Jones, beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend was born on November 30, 1982 to Lynn and Rebecca Taylor Jones in Salt Lake City, Utah. Michael was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He received his call and was anxiously preparing to serve in the Washington, Spokane Mission. On January 4, 2002 Michael returned to his loving Father in Heaven to serve his mission there.
A graduate of Taylorsville High School, Michael was a passionate member of the band, choir, Madrigals, debate, and drama. He loved to perform and received numerous local, state, and national honors. He also received scholarship offers for the performing arts from Utah State University and New York University. Michael excelled in scouting to receive the rank of Eagle Scout. A trusted and valued employee at Lagoon, Michael established and set new records and was honored as Employee of the Year. He also enjoyed playing football and basketball. His life was an inspiration to everyone he knew and affected many he did not know. A young man with the ability to make anyone feel like his best friend, and always available to help, he will be sorely missed by us all but will fulfill a great need to those he meets. We continue to love and pray for you.
