Question: Who is the woman who portrays Sydney Bristow's mother on "Alias"? Is she the same woman that was on "General Hospital" as Anna Devane? If it is not the same woman, who is she and what shows has she been in? — K.F., Cincinnati, Ohio
Answer: Swedish-born actress Lena Olin has joined the second-season cast of "Alias" as Irina "The Man" Derevko, mother of double agent Sydney Bristow (played by Jennifer Garner). Olin's film work includes "Chocolat," "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" and "Enemies: A Love Story," for which she received an Oscar nomination. She recently completed filming "The United States of Leland" with Kevin Spacey. That was Finola Hughes who played the soap character Anna Devane.

"Door to Door" will be eligible for Emmy consideration in 2003. Macy, who starred as door-to-door salesman Bill Porter, also co-wrote the screenplay for the cable movie.
