California-based Essex Environmental said Monday it has entered into a stock purchase agreement to become a wholly owned subsidiary of TRC Cos. Inc.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Essex said it plans to continue growth in three offices in California and add a new office in Salt Lake City in the next several months, plus expand current operations on the East Coast.
Founded in 1988, Essex provides environmental planning, training and compliance management services to energy and infrastructure clients. TRC provides technical, financial risk management and construction services in infrastructure improvements and expansions, environmental management, and power development and conservation. It has more than 76 offices in 25 states, including Utah.
