Timpanogos Academy, a K-6 public charter school that charges no tuition, will accept applications for the 2003-04 school year through Nov. 30.
The school uses the academically rigorous Core Knowledge curriculum, supported by Saxon math and Open Court/Spalding Method language arts. It includes significant parent involvement, limited class sizes, uniforms and a challenging back-to-basics approach for motivated students. Parents provide students transportation, lunches and uniforms. They also agree to a 40-hour per family, per year minimum volunteer commitment.
Applications may be downloaded from the school's Web site at www.timpacademy.org or by calling 801-785-4979. Admission will be offered based on the results of a lottery, held in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
