Josephine Hardy Taylor, age 82 of Pleasant Grove, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2002.

She was born Jan 22, 1920, in Red Oak, VA, to Martin C. and Annie Mae Watson Hardy. She married Norris John Taylor in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Jan 21, 1941. He died in 1966.

Josephine graduated from Davis High School in 1939. She attended Weber College to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked at various hospitals for many years. After retirement, she served in the Georgia, Atlanta Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1979-1980.

Josephine was a very caring person who reached out to others. She loved her family and was very proud of their accomplishments. She grew beautiful plants and had a great love for animals, especially wild birds.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Grant (Sharon) Taylor of Pleasant Grove, John Paul (Lynette) Taylor of Payson, Patricia Ann (Richard) Shepard of Salem, OR; a daughter-in-law, Sydney Taylor, of Social Circle, GA; 26 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, Raymond (Eva) Hardy of Layton, Amos Hardy of Delta, Virginia (Darrell) Frazier of Layton and Catherine (Paul) Willey of Centerville. She was preceded in death by her son, Roger Taylor, her parents, three sisters and one brother.

Services will be Tues. Oct 22, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. in the Battle Creek 7th Ward Chapel at 1250 East 200 South in Pleasant Grove, UT. Family and friends may call Mon. 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Mortuary, 494 South 300 East in Pleasant Grove, or at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Clinton City Cemetery at 3 p.m.
