Earl Stephenson Kenney, 79, died Tuesday, October 22, 2002 in Cedar City, UT.

He was born on May 19, 1923 in Fillmore, UT to Vilate Stephenson and Benjamin Glen Kenney. He married Judith Ann Williams in the St. George Temple on June 5, 1946. She preceded him in death by seven months.

Earl is survived by his children, Ann (Clyne) Long, serving a mission in Ecuador, Lloyd Earl (Lynda) Kenney of Cedar City, UT, Bonnie Ruth (Joseph) Stott of Richfield, UT, Mark Glen (Teri) Kenney of Cedar City, UT, Karma (Stuart) Bailey of Fillmore, UT, Mary Ellen (Joseph) Larkin of Salt Lake City, UT; 24 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Mont G. (Margaret) Kenney of Salt Lake City, UT, Blair S. (Joan) Kenney of Redlands, CA, and Karl Benjamin (Alene) Kenney of Holladay, UT. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; sisters, Nana Kenney Roberts, Veda Ellen Kenney Adams; two grandsons, Adam Mark Kenney and Brent Lloyd Kenney.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 28, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. in the Cedar Heritage Chapel, 290 W. 1045 N. Friends may call Sunday, October 27, 2002, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Southern Utah Mortuary, 190 N. 300 W. and on Monday, October 28, 2002, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery.

At the request of Earl, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Earl S. Kenney Memorial Fund at State Bank of Southern Utah. Proceeds from the memorial fund will be donated to local charities.
