Husband, father, grandfather, friend. Charles Don LeBaron, 71, died as a result of an automobile acci-dent early Friday morning, Novem-ber 8, 2002.

He was born to Don Raymond and Eliza Stark LeBar-on, Aug 25, 1931, in Payson, UT. He received his education in Nebo School Dis-trict, and gradu-ated from Payson High School. He served in the Southern States Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

During the Korean conflict he served in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, leaving the military with the rank of Lt. Colonel. He married Shirley Mae Stewart June 9, 1954 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Charles graduated from BYU and received his Master's Degree from the University of Wisconsin. He worked for the Utah State Probation and Parole, and Vocational Rehabilitation. For the last 30 years he was self-employed as a successful general contractor. Charles served in various callings for the LDS Church and considered it a great honor to serve as bishop of the American Fork 13th Ward and as a branch president at the Missionary Training Center. He fancied himself as a gourmet chef, gentleman farmer and true blue BYU fan. He constructed a legacy of beautiful buildings all over the country. He loved his children, found great joy in his grandchildren and adored his sweetheart.

Survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley; children, Kristine (Lonnie) Lambson, Ramah, NM, Shirl Don (Allison) LeBaron, American Fork, UT, Linda ( Russell) Bennion, Vicenza, Italy; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and one expected; sisters, Anna Rae (Gilbert) Nelson, Bountiful, UT, Dollene (Ben) Nason, Syracuse, UT, Nona (JoeLynn) Spencer, Payson, UT; and brothers, Garn (Barbara) LeBaron, Orem, UT, Dan (Luene) Ludlow, Provo, UT. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Leah; and a grandson, Courtney Charles Allred.

Services will be Wed. Nov 13, 2002, 12 noon American Fork LDS East Stake Center (825 E. 500 N). Friends and family may call Tues. Nov 12, 6-8 p.m. Anderson & Sons Mortuary (49 E. 100 N) and Wed. Nov 13, 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the stake center. Interment, American Fork City Ceme-tery.
