Today is less bright than decades of yesterdays for Hugo V. White, husband, father, uncle, friend passed away at the Elkhorn Life Care Center, Omaha, Nebraska, Nov. 25, 2002. at the age of 98. His wonderful sense of humor cheered all with a ready joke or story. The twinkle in his eyes will be sorely missed.
Born July 10, 1904 to Lovina VanCott White and Joseph Alfred White. Married LaRue Ryberg in Salt Lake City. After her death, married Thelma Eckholt, Aug. 20, 1970. He retired from McDonald's Candy Company.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma; four grandchildren, Peggy, Tom, Tim, and Mollie; brother, Victor White; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, June and Patricia; and brother, Jos. Paul White.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. Larkin Funeral home, 24th and J Streets, Omaha, Nebraska.
