She Loved Life and Her Family
ROY - Nelma Whiting Hansen, 81, returned to her Heavenly Father early Sunday morning, December 22, 2002.
She was born Oct 26, 1921 in Thistle, UT a daughter of Clarence Othell and Azua Peterson Whiting. She graduated from Manti High School in 1939. Nelma married Oris Whitlock Hansen Nov 29, 1940 in the Manti LDS Temple. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Roy 3rd Ward. Nelma retired from the IRS.
Surviving are her husband of Roy; one son and two daughters, Wayne (Wendy) Hansen, Layton, Jackie (Gary) Nelson, Roy, Barbara (Clayton) Roop, West Haven; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers and one sister, Dee Whiting, Holladay, Earl Whiting, Pleasant Grove, Roger Whiting, Provo, Jess Whiting, Orem, Helen Hall, Hurricane. Preceding her in death was one daughter, Gerry Singleton; two brothers, Armon Whiting, Shelby Whiting; and one sister, Shirley Whiting.

Services will be Tues. Dec 24, 2002 11 a.m. Roy 3rd Ward Chapel, 5930 S. 2200 W, Bishop John Bond officiating. Friends may call Mon.
