Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother passed away December 21, 2002 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 19, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Kaleel Fadel and Besma Aswad. He was educated in Davis County, graduating from Davis High School in 1942 where he was state champion in wrestling and shot-put.
He served his country in the Army during World War II. He attended the U of U where he was active in drama and played on the football team.
He married Beth Weaver, March 6, 1944, they were blessed with four children: Melic K. Fadel II (Rebecca); Mikell Forsyth (Moe); Renee Moncur (Dean); and David Fadel (Tammy). Survived by 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond K. Fadel, Bountiful; George K. Fadel, Bountiful; two sisters, Olga Pullman, SLC; and Mamie Barrack, Culver City, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Daisy Malouf and Lilly Halaby, brothers, Shirl K. Fadel and Labeeb K. Fadel
He was a very successful businessman and entrepreneur for over 55 years. He established Fadel's Fine Furnishings in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The family wishes to express their special love and gratitude for the devotion, love and care given by Beatrice Gore "Queen Bea" and T. Lee McCarthy. Our thanks to the entire Rocky Mountain Hospice. Special thanks to Peter Lee for all his loyalty and dedication.
Services will be held Friday, Dec. 27, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, where friends may call Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and again Friday from 12:45 - 1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
