5/29/81 ~ 12/21/02
Having been patient, true, and faithful in all he was asked to endure from both earthly and heavenly parents, Ryan realized that it was finally his turn to go and quickly slipped away at bedtime on Saturday, December 21. Though his passing leaves a void in an even quieter house, his welcome by Rebekah, Jenny and Sean must have been joyous indeed as his voice could now join theirs in making a quartet to sing praises together.
He was born on May 29, 1981, in Payson, Utah, the oldest son of David C. and Maria Elena McCurdy Dahlquist.
He attended Oakridge School in Provo and had graduated from the LDS Special Education Seminary there. Countless lives and innumerable hearts were touched by this special guy in his twenty-one years among us as we interacted with his strong spirit and were charmed by his sweet smile.
He leaves behind his parents of Payson; a much-loved older sister and brother-in-law Kristiana and Bill Silver, Salt Lake City; a nephew, Andrew; and grandparents, Calvin and Joycelyn Dahlquist, Bountiful, Utah; and J. Dean and Melba McCurdy, Pocatello, Idaho. He joins his two older sisters, Rebekah and Jenny, and his younger brother and best friend, Sean.
Funeral services, celebrating his life, will be held Friday, December 27, at 11:00 a.m., at the Payson LDS South Stake Center, 711 South 600 East, Payson. Family and friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Thursday, Dec 26, 6:00-8:00 p.m. or at the Stake Center Friday, 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
Ryan's parents shall ever be grateful to Dr. Richard Later for his years of wise counsel, and tender, loving care of not only Ryan, but his brother and sisters also.
