SANDY — The Occupational Health and Safety Administration along with the U.S. General Services Administration broke ground Friday on a new facility for the Salt Lake Technical Center at 8660 S. Sandy Parkway in Sandy city's new Technology Park
The new 72,000-square-foot facility, headquarters for 119 OSHA staff and contract personnel, will house OSHA's National Laboratory, National Health Response Team and OSHA's electronic-compliance assistance tool development services.
The new building will include instrument rooms, laboratories, chemical storage, offices and a data center. It will replace OSHA's current office and laboratory located in downtown Salt Lake City and is expected to be completed late next year.
