Getting there: The Pratt Museum of Natural History is on the southeast corner of the Amherst College quadrangle. From Interstate 91, take exit 19. Take Route 9 east about seven miles to the intersection of Route 116 in downtown Amherst. At the intersection, take a right onto Route 116, then take the next left, the main road into the Amherst College campus.

Admission: Free.

Hours: September through mid-June, the museum is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. During the summer, the museum is open on weekends only. A room featuring nearly 1,300 dinosaur tracks is shown by appointment only.
