Citrix Systems Inc. said Monday that it is relocating 50 of its employees from its Draper site to offices in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., or Columbia, Md.

Joe Horine, Citrix spokesman, said the consolidation will affect all engineering and development positions at the Draper office.

The Fort Lauderdale-based software company will continue to maintain its Draper office with an unspecified number of support staff responsible for information systems and administrative support of its U.S. operations.

Employees affected by the realignment will have 60 days to decide whether to relocate.

"If they decide not to relocate, they are getting the 60 days," Horine said.

Citrix creates software that allows people to access information from remote locations by cell phone or terminals.

The publicly-traded company reported net income in the fourth quarter of 2001 of $25.6 million, or 13 cents per share, as compared to $19.4 million, or 10 cents per share, in the same period a year ago.
