Charles Eric "Chuck" Peterson, 87, president of the Illinois Chicago South Mission from 1980-1983, died Jan. 14, 2002, in Provo, Utah. He served eight years in the Utah State senate and six years in the state House of Representatives, with two years as majority leader and two years as speaker of the house.
Rhea Lenore Bradford Allen, who served for 11 years as a member of the YWMIA general board, died Jan 21, 2002, in St. George, Utah. An organist, pianist and composer, she wrote music that was performed around the world by young Latter-day Saints.
