Salt Lake-based Granite Construction Co. has purchased about 60 acres of permitted sand and gravel resources and a concrete batching facility at the Point of the Mountain.
Construction Products Co., the materials division of Granite, will manage the facility as part of its commercial aggregate and ready-mix business.
Granite said the acquisition eventually will allow CPC to consolidate its facilities operating in Sandy and American Fork and supply customers with better, faster service when the facility becomes fully operational in June.
