Salt Lake-based Simon Transportation Services Inc., which has filed for bankruptcy protection, on Wednesday clarified a news release distributed Monday.
The release was about a potential bid from Central Freight Lines Inc. for the acquisition of substantially all of the business and assets of the company.
Simon said Wednesday that if the bid is successful, Simon's temperature-controlled transportation operations would continue and the bidder would operate the acquired assets and operations separately from Central's other operations.
