Richard Carrington Jones, 18, died in an avalanche at Brighton, Utah while snowboard-ing with his cousins and friends in the mountains he loved.

Richard attend-ed Skyline High and graduated from Vintage High School, Napa, California. He was studying graphic design at Salt Lake Com-munity College and worked at the Delta Center. He was a gifted artist, designer and entrepreneur. His quirky sense of humor, dazzling smile and engaging personality made him everyone's friend. He terribly missed his younger brother Christopher, 16, who died six months ago. His family knows that the Jones boys are partners again.

Richard is survived by his parents Graham and April Jones; his sweetheart Catherine Lowry; his grandparents Ralph and Marilyn Ball, Kathleen Joan Jones; aunts, uncles and cousins Lauren, John, Cami, Abigail, Nathan, Natalie, Mark and Gavin; and his faithful dog Desi.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 23rd at 1:00 p.m. in the Mt. Olympus 6th Ward chapel, 4407 S. Fortuna Way (3650 E.). Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Richard was an organ donor, and his family requests donations, in lieu of flowers, towards the purchase of "Dick" an avalanche dog at the "Richard Jones Avalanche Dog Fund" Bank One, 2855 E. 3300 S., Salt Lake City, Utah 84109, or donations may be made at any Bank One branch.

Blue skies, new snow.

Chris and Dick together always.
