Salt Lake-based American Linen Co. has changed its name to Alsco.
The new name — an acronym for the original company name, American Linen Supply Co. — is designed to unite a worldwide group of businesses under a single name and logo.
The company has served the Utah market for more than 50 years in textile services, including restaurant and medical linen supply, uniforms and cleanroom services. Founded in 1889 in Lincoln, Neb., the company moved its headquarters to Salt Lake in 1895.
