If you're interest in having an Olympic license plate, they'll be available only through June 30. After that, the Utah Department of Motor Vehicles will not sell them.
"This is a limited-time offer of sorts," Jodi Monaco, spokeswoman for the Utah State Tax Commission, said. "The Games were a memorable event for many Utahns and we'd like to encourage anyone interested in the plates to remember that they only have a few months left to get them."
The plates add $22 to vehicle registration costs, but in following years carry no extra fees. For more information on the plates, go online to http://dmv.utah.gov.
