Fred G. Wolf, our beloved father, opa, great-opa and brother, stepped into the glory of heaven where he was reunited with the love of his life, Dorothy, on Thursday, April 25, 2002.

Born to Arnold and Anna Wolf in Nuremberg, Ger-many, August 3, 1926. He came to America in 1947. He married Doro-thy Hahn on February 26, 1950 in Blackfoot, Idaho. Fred worked for Sears Roebuck and Co. for 44 years. He was active in the life of Wasatch Presbyterian Church, an avid bridge player, and a fan of Beethoven. He volunteered his time for Habitat of Humanity, Reading Room for the Blind, The Homeless Shelter, Widowed People Association, and was always available to assist people in need. Fred and Dorothy were instrumental in improving opportunities for the mentally handicapped in Utah. He was a friend to anyone he met; he did not know a stranger.

He is survived by his children: Kathleen (Clyde) Peppin, Joan Wolf and Gregory (Pamela) Wolf; grandchildren: Jeff (Bobbi), Jason (Stacey), Matt (Karri), and Rachel Peppin; great-grandchildren: Alexis, Zech and Makayla; sister: Gertrude (Casper) Safran; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, and parents, Arnold and Anna.

Fred will always be remembered for his kind and generous spirit. He was devoted to his family and friends. We all adored him. "Opa" was a hero and inspiration to all his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at Wasatch Presbyterian Church, 1626 S. 1700 East, Salt Lake City, UT. Friends may call at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 E. 100 South, on Monday from 7-8 p.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
