MURRAY — Murray District resource teacher Kelli Sevey Kercher has been named recipient of the Clarissa Hug Teacher of the Year award.

Kercher, who teaches at Hillcrest Junior High, was chosen for her innovation, knowledge, creativity and inspiration. The award is presented at the International Conference of the Council for Exceptional Children in New York City.
