Alexis "Pete" Z Madsen passed away at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah April 27, 2002 at age 49.

Pete was born July 27, 1952 in Logan, UT to Delbert Murray Madsen and Blanche Zollinger Madsen. Pete was a special person. He always greeted people with a smile. He was very friendly, courteous and cared deeply about others. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was proud of his membership. He prized his church responsibilities as a Deacon and was faithful in all his assignments. Pete was very proud of his work and was meticulous in performing his work assignments at the Work Activity Center. He enjoyed work and staying busy. Pete's friendliness and care for others brought him many friends whom he cared about. He loved his family and especially his late Grandpa and Grandma, Henry M. and Eliza Zollinger and he enjoyed traveling. Pete also enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics and was very proud of the medal he won. Pete was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Murray Madsen.

He is survived by his mother, Blanche Zollinger Madsen, his brother Brent (LaDawna) Madsen, their children, Ammon, Rachel, Ben, Heath, Cameron, Bethany and Pace, his sister Brenda (Claude) Mecham, their children, Elizabeth, Carolyn, Jacqueline, Michelle, Jacob, David and Mary Beth.

His family and friends will celebrate his life Friday, May 3, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Waterloo Ward, 1623 South 5th. East. A viewing will be at the Waterloo Ward Chapel prior to services from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Graveside services will be held at the Providence Cemetery in Providence, Utah at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
