Dianne (Dixie Starr) Buck died on April 17, 2002 at home.

Dianne Juanita Hodges (Dixie) was born in Oklahoma on April 12, 1912 to Lenny and Margaret Hodges. She was married and divorced from Jack Hart Hoxie (no dates found) Later she was married and divorced from John M. Buck. In her life Dixie had been a circus performer (high wire), trick and fancy rider with Miller Bros. 101 Ranch Real Wild West Show, Downey Bros. Circus and Jack Hart Hoxie Wild West Show, stunt woman and co-starred with her husband (Hoxie) in early western movies. Later she was an Air Force wife and traveled with her husband John Buck to Japan. She loved horses, children, and the outdoors all of her life. For the last 29 years she lived in Lucerne Valley, California and recently moved to Utah for health reasons.

She is survived by her children: son Jack Romero Hoxie (Kiyomi) of Lodi, CA; daughter Suzanne (Mark) Poulson of Erda, Utah; grandchildren D. Chris Converse of Arizona and Coryn Holmes of Stansbury Park, UT; and five great-grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by her family.

Memorial Services will be held at the Erda Chapel at 7:30 p.m. Friday May 24, 2002. There will be no funeral services. Family members please contact Sue Poulson at (435)
