Iris McIntosh Lunt, 73, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 18, 2002 in Brigham City Utah.
Born Jan. 27, 1929 in Burlington, WY. to Ira James McIntosh and Florence Adella Yorgason. Iris married Richard Cowan Lunt January 4, 1950 who later died in 1965. Iris received her teaching certificate at University of Wyoming and taught Home Economics in Burlington Wyoming. She also enjoyed working in Yellowstone Park. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Iris was a beautiful, poised, loving, caring daughter and mother. This was demonstrated by her devotion to caring for her aging parents and her willingness to put others before her. Mom loved to sew, cook, travel and research family history.
Iris is survived by her brothers and sisters, Maxine Laverne Shanor of Cheyenne WY; Gertrude Voglesberg of Orem; Bus McIntosh (Jill) of Powell WY; Udell McIntosh of Fort Collins CO; Duane McIntosh (Rita) of Ventura CA; Bob McIntosh (Carol) of Burlington WY; Gordon McIntosh (Shirley) of Orem; Howard McIntosh (Jean) of Magna; and Eleanor Bates (Cloyd) of Burlington Wyo.; her children Dixon Lunt (Mary Beth) of Burlington Wyoming; Floyd Lunt (Mary) of Katy Texas; and Lynnea Hall (Steven) of Brigham City; and her 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents; brothers Donny and Eugene, brother-in-laws Don Shanor and Cliff Voglesburg, sister-in-law Kaye McIntosh, and grandson William Lunt.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at 11:00 in the Nephi Stake Center, 351 N 100 W, Nephi, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to funeral at the church from 10:00 - 10:45 Interment in the Vine Bluff Cemetery.
