Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani gratefully accepted an unusual gift — fake Armani jeans and sunglasses bought at a Russian market.

Armani laughed as a reporter from Russia's NTV television presented him with the phony merchandise after an interview at his Moscow boutique.

"Actually I am very glad that people can buy Armani — even if it's a fake. I like the fact that I'm so popular around the world," said Armani, who is in town to show his collection on Tuesday.
