Beloved brother, father and grand-father, a gentleman and a gentle man, passed away June 1, 2002 of natural causes at age 85.
He was born Jan 21, 1917, in Hyde Cheshire, England to William and Hannah Grimshaw. He spent his childhood in the Northwest part of England. He served as a wireless operator in the Royal Air Force during World War II and was stationed in North Africa. He married his sweetheart and lifelong companion, Joyce McGraw Sept 10, 1949 in Oldham, Lancashire. The marriage was later sealed in the London, England LDS Temple April 21, 1962.
Dennis was a talented musician and arranger. He played in many dance bands through the 1940's and 1950's. He had a lifelong passion with Glen Miller and wrote an article published in the Deseret News about the subject. His daily walks in nature were a source of joy.
He is survived by his loving children, Denzil Grimshaw, Nancy Farley, Eliza-beth Grimshaw; grandchildren, Patri-cia, Bryan, Amy, Rebecca Grimshaw, and Jeremy Schooley, all of Salt Lake City; and a brother, William Grimshaw, Oakham, Rutland, England.

Services will be Tues. June 4, 2002, 12 noon, Ensign 3rd Ward, 465 N. "K" St, Salt Lake City. A viewing will be 10-11:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
