The Deseret News, R.C. Willey and Panasonic are teaming to present 1,000 copies of "2002 Salt Lake City — Memorable Photographs and Stories from the Games of 2002" to school libraries in Utah, Idaho and Nevada Wednesday to keep the spirit of the Olympics alive.

The books will be presented to Gov. Mike Leavitt Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.. Leavitt will be accompanied by Georgia Loutensock, library/media director for the State Office of Education. Jim Wall, publisher, and John Hughes, editor of the Deseret News; Bill Child, chairman of the board of R.C. Willey; and Mike Hackett, Panasonic vice president for the Western Region. will make the presentation.

The 128-page full-color book contains more than 300 photos taken during the Games by 10 members of the Deseret News photo staff, along with accounts of each of the Olympic events.
