Our loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, Robert Dale Carroll, age 69, of Salt Lake City, UT, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2002 in Salt Lake City, UT, while surrounded by his family.
Dale was born July 28, 1932 in Altonah, UT to Robert Aldon and Mary Louisa Powell Carroll. On October 05, 1956, He married the love of his life, Sylvia Crowton, in Salt Lake City, UT. He was a retired Pipefitter through Plumbers & Seamfitters Union Local #19.
We will always remember the wonderful times we had camping, fishing and hunting. The times spent as a play pal with his grandchildren will be cherished for years to come. Friends and neighbors will miss the consummate handyman, his tools, knowledge and willingness to help at anytime on anything. Friendships came easy for Dale and he will be missed by many friends, old and new.
Survivors include Wife, Sylvia Carroll of Salt Lake City, UT, children, Susan (Kip) Slaugh, Craig (Michelle) Carroll, Rob Carroll; grandchildren Brooke and Monica Carroll, Dallen Slaugh; mother, Mary Day; brothers, Jack, Don and Gene Carroll; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his father Robert Aldon Carroll and sister Hazel Carroll.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2002 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 1750 East 3300 South. Friends may call Thursday evening, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, and on Friday from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. prior to the services.
